Cardiovascular & gastrointestinal medicine

25% of us die of coronary heart disease and 40% from cardiovascular disease (MI, CVA and CCF). Of those that have an MI, 1/3 die within the first month, half of these deaths before they reach hospital – underlining the need for primary and secondary prevention.

GIT problems are common in primary care and represent a significant proportion of a GPs workload.
