Assessing the evidence base

Evidence based practice

Evidence Based Health Care: A rigorous and scientific approach to appraise evidence to benefit individual patients and to improve the delivery of health care.

Research and academic activity: academic activity involves all GPs to some extent and comprises not only research, but also teaching and reflective practice.

Teaching, mentoring and clinical supervision - These are all core activities of general practice and require specific knowledge, skills and attitudes.
