New job, new faces!

GP Induction

Our team of Programme Directors, Administrators, Trainers and Practice Managers work together to ensure that your introduction to General Practice Specialist Training is enjoyable and interesting.

Don't Panic....

Prior to you starting, your Practice Manager will arrange for you to meet your Trainer and visit the practice where you can complete all the necessary paperwork.

They may also provide you with the updated TISA form, if not you can download it here. This simple self assessment tool is designed to help you define your learning needs and plan your education during your attachment.

Then comes your first day....

It's not like the bad old days where you were 'chucked in at the deep end' and assessed by whether you sunk or swam. Every practice offers an induction programme which enables you to get to know your Trainer, the practice and the multidisciplinary team. Why not have a look at the SunnyBank Medical Centre induction programme or a typical GP Registrar timetable.
